07 FOGGY FOREST 9x12x0.75 inches

CA$216.00

FOGGY FOREST 07, Acrylic on Gallery-wrapped Canvas, 9x12x0.75 inches, comes framed.

I've been training myself not to paint what I know, but paint what I see. You'll hear a lot of art teachers say that too. But what I find transcends the most is painting what I feel. I close my eyes for a moment and let the brush take me places. The most connected I've ever felt with my art is when I paint what I feel and not what I know, or see. [On the other hand, it's so easy to get technical and be critical of myself when I paint. I think that bleeds over the work too.]

I think it is what people are drawn to as well; that connection part, it transcends the paints and the canvas. It goes straight to the heart and not the eye of the beholder.

"as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."-second Corinthians four: eighteen .
