Water: In Progress

My reference for this piece is a photo my sister took at a camping/fishing resort my family goes to during the summer. This kind of water painting challenges me. The ripples and reflections have such an abundance of dynamic range. I hope to give the photo justice. It doesn’t look like much now. This already feels like something I will spend a lot of time on. But, one never really knows. Sometimes, when the mind and the hand just go into what seems like oblivion, something like what I could only describe as spontaneous choreography just happens.
